Herbal Pest Control..continued.
Cockroaches
To keep these
pests out of a refrigerator (fridge), keep four aspirin tablets in the various
egg holders. The roaches will run out of the refrigerator.
To eliminate
cockroaches from the kitchen, soak a rag in beer and keep it overnight in the
kitchen. This beer rag will attract the cockroaches that stay in the kitchen
area and they can all be easily eliminated.
Pour a little
kerosene in drains regularly to keep cockroaches away. Do this once a month and
stay safe.
Keeping a few
cucumber slices on the kitchen floor will also help keep cockroaches away.
In case of
major infestation of cockroaches and other insects, prepare this environment
friendly pesticide. Grind together four onions, four red chilies, three garlic
flakes and keep this mixture overnight. The next day, mix this in three to four
liters of water and spray around the house and in the kitchen to get rid of
cockroaches and other pests.
Flies
To keep flies
away from food kept on a dining table, divert them away. Cut an onion in
half and keep it in one corner of the room. All the flies will flock to that
onion away from the food.
To get rid of
flies, add a little salt and a few drops of kerosene in the water while mopping
the floor. This will keep flies away as they hate the smell of kerosene.
To keep insects
and flies at bay in an outdoor lighted setting, place a garland of onion rings
around the light source. The onion smell will keep the pests at bay.
Lizards
Lizards can be
kept at bay by keeping a peacock feather somewhere in the room. Perch this
feather somewhere a little high on the wall and the lizards will stay away.
Snakes
If you leave in
a area prone to snakes, you need to keep your house safe from them. To do so,
grind 10-12 flakes of garlic and add them to a bucket of water. Sprinkle this
concoction around the house. This will keep snakes away. Repeat every week to
feel safe.
Normally a combination of measures repeated
every two to four weeks will help keep household pests at bay. Try them and
enjoy a chemical pesticide free pest control.
