From Books with charcoal kept in an old
sock or commercially bough silica gel packets which help control
humidity and moisture levels.
From Cars with the help of vinegar and baking
soda. Clean removable floor mats with a equal solution of
vinegar and water and dry in sun. Clean upholstery, by rubbing
baking soda , leaving it in for a hour or so and then vacuuming it
off.
Deodorize closets with freshly ground coffee.
Leave the coffee in an open container in the corner of the closet
and the musty smell will vanish.
Prevent musty smell from happening in suitcases
by stuffing them with newspapers before storing them. Remove musty
smell from suitcases by airing them and / or rubbing them with
baking soda and then leaving it in for an hour or so before removing
the powder.
Remove smell from a lunch box easily
the hygienic way. Simply dip a paper towel with vinegar and leave
overnight. Remove the paper towel and the box will be fresh
smelling. For a quick fix, rub down with vinegar and then rinse with hot
water.
